On March 20, 2020, Shopify announced that all of its plans will be eligible for the gift card feature in response to the coronavirus outbreak. Shopify expects this to last for the "foreseeable future." During this time, you can add and use our gift card apps to any Shopify store.
Under normal pricing and plan features, you need the Shopify (formerly known as “Pro”) Plan, Shopify Advanced or Shopify Plus plans. Keep in mind that higher level plans will give you a lower credit card processing rate and access to advanced reports, so it’s a worthwhile investment in your business to switch.
